POSITION PURPOSE

Manages and supports the effective delivery of organizational projects by establishing objectives, priorities, timelines, and required resources.

Assists with the development, documentation, and testing of projects. Maintains communications between the project team and management to ensure a successful project completion.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Assists in the definition, development, and documentation of software's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
  • Uses project management documentation and tools to document and manage projects to maintain timelines and deadlines.
  • Coordinates, facilitates and manages project objectives by :
  • Assisting management as needed.
  • Implementing and / or updating procedures and processes.
  • Coordinating and preparing for meetings.
  • Evaluating and researching new products and services as needed.
  • Tracking progress and reviewing project tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Managing status, issues, and risks (budget, timing, and resources).
  • Maintaining timelines and target dates in project management documentation / tools.
  • Developing standardized testing and approval processes for stakeholders and coordinating testing.
  • Acts as a liaison between departments and coordinate communications, tasks, and meetings.
  • Standardizes testing and assists with the development of a Quality Assurance program for the organization, ensuring better testing outcomes.
  • Works with and develops Subject Matter Experts (SME) throughout the organization.
  • Works with business area SMEs to ensure all necessary testing is completed successfully.
  • Assists with the continued enhancement of the organization's project management program.
  • Assists in the development of the annual budget for the IT and PMO departments. Coordinate the process to ensure that all information is submitted in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Works closely with management and staff throughout the credit union to resolve any project-related issues and to service improvement opportunities.
  • Assists in the development of the Sun Center.
  • Tests and develops programming modifications.
  • Provide ongoing support and / or assistance with strategic initiatives, such as business continuity planning (BCP), member relationship management (MRM), and other systems as required.
  • Serves as a backup to the PMO Manager as needed.
  • Ability to work flexible hours when necessary for deadlines and off-hours implementations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform work of a very physical, and often repetitive, nature including the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and otherwise move objects up to 40 pounds.

Additionally, must be able to sit for extended periods of time, when necessary. Requires manual dexterity and visual ability to work at a computer terminal, utilize keyboard, telephone and other standard office equipment.

Must be able to deliver and receive verbal communication.

SKILLS AND / OR QUALIFICATIONS

College / technical school graduate with emphasis in project management, information technology or computer science courses;

or project management certification from an accredited program such as PMP certification.

  • A minimum of three (3) years of project management experience or related experience in a position managing specialized companywide project portfolios, using PC desktop project management tools, related facilitator and / or workflow analysis experience, and problem-solving experience.
  • A thorough knowledge of project and portfolio management, business operations, workflow analysis, and PC operation / tools.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite. Experience with formula-building in Excel, HTML, or other coding languages is preferred.
  • Ability to understand core system software functionality as it pertains to support project requests.
  • Ability to understand and learn different business processes quickly and efficiently.
  • Must be collaborative, detail-oriented, organized, timely, resourceful, and flexible.
  • Ability to effectively write procedures, document workflows, and create templates.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all staff, management, and executives.
  • Must have strong listening and communication skills (written and verbal), proficient grammar and mathematics skills, and proficient interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work well with others and establish strong working relationships.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
