Job Details
A hospital in Washington is looking for an experienced Xray Tech for a travel contract. The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active ARRT (R) and WA License.
Job Requirements
- Must have 2 full years of experience
- Hold an active ARRT (R)
- Hold an active WA License
- Surgical Experience Necessary
- Traveler needs License in hand at time of submittal
- Must be able to perform all General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, and OR exams
Schedule Information
- Shift times can be a mix of 10Hr and 12Hr shifts for both days & nights
- Assigned shifts and schedule
- Schedule posted at least 2 weeks in advance
- May include weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Some call may be required on occasion with a 45-minute response time
Unit Specific Information
- Department : Radiology / X-ray
- Typically 1st three days are department orientation
- General Certification Requirements : Current BLS required
- 4 general X-ray rooms, 2 fluoroscopy rooms
- Float between General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and Portables
- All General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, OR, and ED imaging / studies performed
- Average 80-100 studies per 24 hour period
- EMR used : EPIC
- PACS : SECTRA
- Windows computer software
- 3 GE general X-ray rooms, 1 Shimadzu X-ray room, GE Fluoroscopy room, GE portables, OEC C-Arms
- No RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants) used
- No IV starting required, but skills are useful
Additional Details
- Must HAVE own lead markers
- Radiation Badge Required Prior to starting assignment
- If scheduled day lands on the holiday work is required
- Scrub Color / Dress Code : Any color scrubs as long as they look professional
- Personal Scrubs Okay as long as tasteful
- Hospital scrubs provided only for staff working in the OR
