Job Summary :
The Commercial HVAC Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects in the commercial HVAC sector, with a focus on projects valued up to $5 million.
This role involves coordinating project teams, ensuring timely and on-budget project completion, and maintaining client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Planning and Coordination :
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
Budget and Cost Management :
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure projects remain within the established financial parameters.
- Identify and mitigate cost overruns through effective cost control strategies.
Resource Management :
- Allocate resources efficiently to meet project objectives while optimizing labor and materials.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
Quality Assurance :
- Establish and maintain quality control procedures to meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain high-quality workmanship.
Client Communication and Relationship Management :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining open communication and addressing concerns promptly.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and potential for future projects.
Timeline Adherence :
- Monitor project timelines and milestones, taking proactive measures to keep projects on schedule and within deadlines.
- Address any delays or deviations from the project schedule to minimize project impact.
Risk Management :
- Identify and assess potential risks and issues, developing mitigation plans to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
- Implement strategies to mitigate safety risks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Tradesman experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree
- Proven experience in project management, specifically in commercial HVAC projects up to $5 million.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, construction processes, and project management methodologies.
- Estimating experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
