The Investment Associate will primarily support commercial real estate debt and equity originators and equity asset managers and will be involved in all aspects of the mortgage origination and equity acquisition process including underwriting, research, due diligence, and closing.

Financial modeling, investment analysis and preparation of internal investment memoranda are the core aspects of the job.

This position offers an outstanding opportunity to develop a solid career in commercial real estate, work on large and complex transactions, and interact with many of the premier players in the industry.

The right candidate has useful experience / training, is interested in institutional quality commercial real estate and finance as a career, has strong analytical abilities, communicates clearly, can multi-task, works hard, is a self-starter, is outgoing and works cooperatively in a team environment.

• Working knowledge of commercial real estate including office buildings, shopping centers, apartments, and industrial warehouse buildings

QUALIFICATIONS

A business-related Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a strong academic record and with a strong preference for a concentration in Finance or Real Estate.

The candidate should have two or more years of real estate investment / underwriting experience preferably working for an institutional investment company, commercial lender, brokerage company, appraisal firm, or related commercial real estate firm.

Proficiency in Argus and advanced modeling skills in Microsoft Excel is required.

Salary range : $87,500-$125,000

Overtime eligible : Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible : Yes

Sales bonus eligible : No
