About The Position

A facility is seeking a Thoracic Surgeon for locum tenens coverage.

As much as you've heard about New York City there are still constantly changing things to do. Everywhere you look, you can find little coffee shops to stop in or bars to have a drink at after work! Take some time at Central Park to take in the sites while on assignment.

There are tours for everything in the city so be sure to research what you want to do before heading to the city that never sleeps.

A thoracic surgeon is needed to provide expert care focused on lung cancer, thoracic esophagus diseases, pleural conditions, complicated pneumothorax, and pneumonia-related infections.

The position requires 24-hour call coverage and a weekly clinic on Tuesdays from 9 AM to 12 PM. Responsibilities include emergency consultations, outpatient services, and performing both elective and emergency surgical procedures, with at least one morning per week dedicated to surgeries.

The hospital has 338 beds, is designated as a Level 2 trauma center, and utilizes the Epic EMR system.
