Job Title : Maintenance Technician

Job Description

• Diagnose and troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical problems with machinery and equipment.
• Perform basic repairs to machinery using knowledge of general maintenance techniques, tools, and skills.
• Conduct basic preventative and predictive maintenance functions, including lubricating, aligning, adjusting, and cleaning.
• Execute basic welding in the repair and fabrication of mechanical equipment.
• Perform basic work and assist as required on electrical, hydraulic, PLC, combustion, and pneumatic systems.
• Read and understand schematics / blueprints ; assist mechanics and operators as necessary.
• Monitor the condition of equipment and make maximum use of planned outages.

Hard Skills

• Mechanical experience
• Experience with electrical systems
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Minor welding
• Minor PLC troubleshooting

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in North Chesterfield, Virginia.

Work Environment

Train on days : typically 7am to 3-4pm for 6 months

Shifts : 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am

Scheduled Monday-Friday with frequent overtime on Saturday / Sunday

Hours per week : 50-60

Environment : Hot, heavy, loud, dirty; working with metal extruding
