About The Position
Job Title : Angiographer Job Specialty : Vascular / Interventional Radiography Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day Shift, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM, Monday to Friday Guaranteed Hours : 40 Hours per Week Experience : 1 year of vascular or interventional experience License : State Radiologic Technician License Certifications : ARRT Registration- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers- Vascular / Interventional Radiography Certification or one year of Angio / Interventional experience Preferred Certifications : Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification Must-Have : Manual dexterity for manipulating complex equipment- Ability to lift and transfer patients- Strong communication skills Job Description : Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and preparation for exams.
- Prepare patients using appropriate body mechanics and techniques.- Produce quality images through correct operation of equipment.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and thoroughly, including time stamps and image storage.- Maintain work area and stock necessary supplies.
- Transport patients as needed safely and comfortably.- Develop knowledge regarding invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies and techniques.
- Apply closure device, suture the sheath in place, or remove the sheath and apply pressure as needed after procedures.- Understand and apply principles of x-ray generation and safety.
- Operate imaging equipment correctly and ensure patient comfort.- Provide procedural assistance as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech, adhering to lab policies and procedures.
- Engage in frequent interactions with care providers, patients, and visitors effectively.
