Job RequirementsCardiac / telemetry experience, and PCU and / or critical care experienceAdvanced skills needed : IV insertion, chest tube management, DHT insertion / management, tracheostomy experience, CVC management, EKG, Foley management, early patient mobilityProcedures performed on unit : Foley placement, IV insertion, wound vac management, DKA management, EKGs, DHT / NG placement, patient ambulation, ADLs Schedule InformationNumber of Beds : 29Patient Ratios : 4 : 1Scheduling requirements : 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
Self-scheduling (within reason to allow balanced staffing). May request days off as needed prior to schedule closing. Schedule will be finalized 2 weeks in advance.
Can accommodate block scheduling for night shift. Unit Specific InformationUnit staffing description : Dayshift unit secretary and 2-3 PCTs depending on census.

We rotate floating, and the oldest float date will float first.Patient Experience requirements : We have a heavy cardiac patient population, and the CV surgery patients come to PCU when they leave our ICU.
