The Senior Program Manager is a senior management team role that will oversee the facility management and services for a geographically aligned portfolio of approximately 130 locations across the City of Chicago.
The role is accountable for managing the assigned sites within the client’s owned and / or occupied portfolio in accordance with the requirements of all local, state and federal requirements as well as client’s policy and directives.
The position will be responsible for all line of business and third-party relationships with the assigned buildings. The position will also manage or oversee an extended team of approximately 20 facility management professionals and 160 IUOE 399 operating engineers.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Performance Management
- Achieve contractual requirements, SLA / KPIs, and account annual goals including but not limited to work order management and compliance metrics and all contractual KPI goals
- Work with colleagues to develop and deliver process improvements that create operational efficiency
- Manage the performance and service delivery outcomes of assigned maintenance / engineering staff reporting to the position
- Ensure compliance with portfolio-wide initiatives and required local, state, and federal laws and regulations that pertain to the operating of facilities entrusted to the Facility Partners to manage on behalf of the client as owner
Relationship Management
- Maintain high client, customer, and end-user satisfaction with services provided, measured through monthly and quarterly KPIs and annual satisfaction surveys
- Develop and maintain an effective and collaborative relationship with the Network Chiefs as the primary relationship manager with that stakeholder group
- Collaborate with client enterprise-wide and regional leadership to ensure facilities operations and maintenance tasks are identified, tracked, resolved, and documented in in compliance with contractual requirements and client expectations
- Interface and develop relationships with peers in other regions and functions to ensure consistent delivery of enterprise-wide initiatives and practices
Program Management
- Deliver on regional / network / site operational budgets, including delivering contractual savings targets, measured by achieving annual budget targets, and monthly / quarterly budget adherence targets as prescribed
- Ensure understanding of contract requirements across the organization
- Engage with networks and individual sites to drive savings initiatives and keep savings tracker updated with all proper documentation
Team Leadership
- Create and maintain a high performing team through proactive professional development and coaching
- Drive superior performance through excellent leadership, directly responsible for overall team leadership, staff development and training, execute staff succession and growth plans
- Provide training and development to all team members, focusing on advancing skillsets and performance of operations and engineering team members
Candidate Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in Facilities Maintenance / Engineering / Management role
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
- Strong critical thinking / decision making skills and problem-solving ability
- Excellent oral / written communication and presentation skills
- Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
- Knowledge of standard business and accounting practices
- Knowledge of Excel and ability to analyze data
