Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU Float position requiring comfort with all PCU and Med / Surg units and Epic experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work as a Resource Pool RN floating between all PCU and Med / Surg units within the hospital
  • Both Progressive Care (PCU) and Medical / Surgical (MS) patient populations
  • Patient ratios : PCU 5 : 1, Med / Surg 6-7 : 1
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hours (18 : 45-07 : 15), with the option for 4x12 hour shifts by request
  • Staffing assignments may change every 4 hours with floating required based on hospital needs
  • Requires use of Epic EMR
  • Must be comfortable floating between all PCU and Med / Surg units with frequent assignment changes
  • All requests for time off must be disclosed up front; Christmas time off cannot be approved
  • Local traveler eligibility is determined by the distance on the driver’s license
  • Local travelers within 0-99.9 miles are eligible for one 13-week assignment and may not extend

  • Active VA or compact RN license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Previous experience on both PCU and Med / Surg units is required
  • Experience with Epic EMR is required
  • Two professional references needed for consideration
  • PDF copies of driver’s license and Social Security card required
