The Emergency Services Paramedic is a member of the collaborative practice team and renders care in accordance with the Ohio Public Safety Rule;
the Paramedic may perform emergency medical services only under the direction and supervision of a physician or registered nurse designated by a physician and only in the hospital's emergency department or while moving a patient between the emergency department and another department.

Dayton Children's south campus emergency department includes 16 beds, a trauma room and 24-hour access. With over 20,000 patient visits per year, Dayton Children’s south campus emergency department provides the highest level of customized emergency care for a child seriously hurt or ill.
