WHAT YOU WILL DO :
The Training Manager is an exempt position responsible for providing job training, demonstrating proper workplace procedures and best practices in a classroom setting and / or in the field for the Refugee Programs.
This position will also be responsible for conducting regular Refugee Cultural Orientation Training for clients.
- Develop and maintain a library of training and reference materials and documentation.
- Periodically review internal training programs; recommend and facilitate improvements.
- Determine the best method to deliver training and coordinate materials, locations, and supplies accordingly.
- Identify job, tasks, safety, processes, and other training needs of employees including new hires and transfers.
- Explain and demonstrate tasks.
- Explain, demonstrate, and emphasize safety aspects of tasks and review applicable job safety analyses with each employee.
- Schedule, organize, and provide supplemental training when necessary.
- Conduct refresher training when necessary.
- Track compliance with training assigned by the agency and funder.
- Monitor staff performance and compliance in collaboration with supervisors, as it relates accuracy of case notes, reports, and services provided to identify areas for improvement and provide necessary training.
- Communicate with Program Managers to identify interpreters and scheduling interpreting services for the cultural orientation.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED :
- Bachelor’s degree in related industry, highly desirable; plus, three (3) years of professional related experience
- Ability to create and document instructional materials based on best practices.
- Experience training, mentoring, and / or coaching.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively teach others.
- Excellent interpersonal and observational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to assess proficiency of trainees.
- Must be able to perform all operations necessary for training.
- Must have a valid drivers' license with auto insurance coverage.
- Must have reliable transportation to conduct hands-on training in the field.
