Direct Support Professional

Shift for this position : Friday & Saturday; 3pm - 11pm Part Time Ocala

Must have at least 6 months IDD and / or caregiving experience, Must have experience with the autism spectrum; ability to become PCM & PCM 2 (Professional Crisis Management)

Restraint's & Take Down's) for therapeutic restraint holds and are able to go down to your knees with them if needed.

Responsibilities

• Teaching skills to promote independence
• Supporting community inclusion and integration
• Assisting with daily living needs
• Mentoring individuals to help build social skills and relationships
• Provide guidance and support in daily activities
• Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with adults with autism; property destruction; elopement; physical aggression;

Must be able to successfully become PCM (Positive Crisis Management) Practitioner Level 2 to facilitate therapeutic behavior techniques as needed

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass a level 2 background check
