JOB OBJECTIVE : The Communications Intern will play a key role in developing communication materials that support significant corporate storytelling initiatives, including a corporate artwork collection tour, corporate timeline update, oral history initiative and Sol Seat interview series.
These projects will engage both internal and external audiences, enhancing corporate storytelling and employee engagement.
The intern will also assist with project management tasks to ensure the timely and successful completion of these initiatives.
Additionally, the role will involve writing, photography, and video production to create high-quality content across multiple formats for internal and external use.
CORE DUTIES :
1. Assist in the development of a corporate artwork collection tour by contributing to content creation, production of promotional materials, and management of related digital platforms.
2. Support the corporate timeline update by assisting with research, content writing, and stakeholder collaboration.
3. Contribute to the oral history initiative by helping with interview filming, editing, and cataloging of materials for future storytelling projects.
4. Support the Sol Seat interview series, including video and photo-based Q&A formats, to create a library of interviews for future use.
5. Support editing and updating SharePoint content as needed.
6. Assist the Communications Pod with various duties, including photography, video production, graphic design, writing, content review, communication planning, and event support as needed.
7. Leverage AI platforms, including ChatGPT, to assist with content creation, including writing, editing, and brainstorming for communication materials across various formats.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field, or proven relevant work experience.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
3. Organizational and project management abilities.
4. Experience with video production, editing software, photography, and written content development.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Graphic design skills are a plus.
2. Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT to enhance writing, editing, and content generation workflows.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
1. Ability to remain stationary for several hours at a time.
2. Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds.
3. Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office applications.
