Currently, we’re hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist to work in a school in Independence, Missouri. As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist with SHC, you'll be supported by our Schools Center of Excellence, a dedicated team of recruiters and employment professionals that understand schools and your unique needs as an SLP.
Speech-Language Pathologist Contract Details :
- $40 - $43 an hour
- School Year
- Bonus : Up to $3, Assignment Bonus for new SHC employees
- Hours per week : 30-32 hours per week. 4 days per week.
- Start Date : August
- End Date : May
- Location : In-person
- Details : School-based Speech-Language Pathologist for - school year with an elementary school caseload. The schedule is Tuesday - Friday and the school bell times are 8 : 30am-4 : 45pm.
Will also consider SLP-CF candidates and part-time candidates.
- Could be working with students who have difficulty swallowing, or students with communication disorders
- SLP will work with students to assess, screen, evaluate, and share results with parents and the school interdisciplinary team
- SLP will develop and implement IEPs for students while reviewing goals and objectives to make recommendations for appropriate care plans
- Will be expected to establish a positive learning environment while providing response to intervention for the needs of each student

Requirements :
- Master’s degree in education or equivalent experience with a bachelor’s degree
- Missouri SLP License
- American Heart Association BLS
- School Experience is Preferred but not required
- ASHA Certification
