Sr. Oracle Apps DBA role at Optimized Technical Solutions, Inc.
The Oracle Apps DBA is responsible for the ongoing maintenance, detection and repair of the Oracle database and e-Business Suite environments (R12.2.4 and R12.1.1) in a 24 / 7 mission-critical setting. This includes working with Application Developers and Production Support teams on application changes, database enhancements, and database production support such as incident, problem and change management, troubleshooting, Oracle quarterly patch installs, upgrades, data refresh via data-pump exports / imports, backups and restores for non-production environments.
Responsibilities
- Participate in 24 / 7 on-call rotations for production-support for Oracle-based environments
- Provide hands-on experience with implementation, upgrade and tuning of large Oracle EBS environments
- Understand Oracle RDBMS architecture and install new Oracle versions as necessary
- Troubleshoot problems related to databases, applications and development tools
- Provide cloning of EBS systems and automation procedures
- Patch assessment and application in an Oracle EBS environment
