We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to join our team in Grandview, MO.
This full-time, onsite position is focused on working with high school students in a self-contained classroom setting for the upcoming 2024 / 2025 school year.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for high school students.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a self-contained classroom.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional strategies.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid Missouri Special Education teaching license.
- Experience working with high school students with special needs is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and effective learning environment for all students.
