- Leading the Spencer Fluid Power Business (full P&L responsibility) in delivering long term profitable growth.
- Improving Customer Satisfaction thru the continuous improvement of Safety, Quality, Delivery Reliability and Cost Management of the business.
- Improving Organizational Capability through the continuous development of your team.
Job Duties
- Developing and delivering a strategic plan which delivers consistent profitable growth. This will include clear targets and objectives for new business development.
- Establishing clear objectives in support of the strategic plan for the leadership team, then supporting them as they are held accountable to deliver upon those objectives.
- Based on your knowledge of developments in markets, products, prices, promotions, and other related fields, introduce innovative new solutions which improve our customers businesses and expand our customer base.
- Continuously refining our Go-To-Market model in support of the strategic plans, including experience in managing a commission-based sales team within the model.
- Enhancing our market reach and opportunities through the Applied Industrial Technologies Service Center team.
- Direct management in developing sales knowledge of markets and product lines and ensure customer relations are maintained at a high level.
Assist in major areas covering important accounts, make joint calls to key accounts, and close important sales. Consult with management and sales staff to gain better sales coverage in a given area and with a given account.
Monitor pricing, purchasing and contract adherence for SG Morris Fluid Power. Manage inventory and receivables, expenses, inventory matching and accuracy, budget, profit / loss and sales.
Analyze results and implement changes as necessary.
Work closely with purchasing, distribution, and accounting areas on matters of mutual concern and responsibilities; review schedules to maintain deliveries and commitments;
discuss order status and inventory levels.
- Oversight of shop operations including labor recovery, scheduling, staffing and profitability.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business related fields with 7 to 10 years industry-related work experience or equivalent.
Graduate degree preferred.
