We are seeking a Hairdreams Salons Operations Manager to join our team!

As a full-time Hairdreams Salons Operations Manager for Beauty Hair Trading, Inc. DBA Hairdreams, exclusive distributor for Hairdreams® Hair Extensions in North America, you will be managing our flagship corporate salon suite (3 Chairs) as well as working with marketing and management to facilitate local operations as well as participate in new salon openings.

For this position a current valid cosmetology license in hairdressing / barbering is required with prior experience in a salon environment providing services to clients along with management experience in retail or retail services.

Hairdreams hair extensions and hair loss systems are proprietary and unique and you will be fully trained as part of the new hire development process along with all other aspects of the job.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities :

• Two (2) or more years’ experience in retail or retail service management
• Two (2) or more years’ experience working behind the chair in a salon environment
• Experience in recruiting and employee development
• Ability to perform cut and color services
• Some experience with hair extensions
• Self-directed with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience with social media with an understanding and interest in utilizing the various platforms like Instagram to increase awareness through posts and engagement
• Ability to connect with clients, establish friendly relationships and build trust with employees and clients alike.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage the salon’s daily operations while maintaining a professional workplace.
• Schedule staff and book clients
• Run front desk POS system, manage phone calls and texts
• Perform hair services as need to clients
• Promote the salon and it’s services through text, email, and paid advertising with assistance from the marketing team
• Ensure that proper hygiene practices are maintained across all styling stations
• Capture video and still content to be used with the marketing dept.
• Hire and develop new staff members as well as discipline and execute terminations if required
• Resolve client inquiries and complaints
• Manage all aspects of client bookings, retention and services provided
• Work with management team on new salon opening development and implementation

Qualifications :

• 2 years’ experience in management running operations for retail or retail services
• Licensed cosmetologist in hairdressing with a minimum of 1 year experience behind the chair
• Ability to run and operate POS systems, handling cash and different payment types
• Good computer skills with some knowledge of Excel and Outlook or their equivalents
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Work well under pressure with excellent problem solving skills
• Meet deadlines and detail-oriented
