Job Description

The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for server installation, maintenance, back up and security, along with performance tuning and capacity planning.

System Administrators should possess an understanding of network and distributed computing concepts. This is accomplished by working with the Systems Management Team Lead to understand the scope of services to be provided and assessing the impact they will have on the technical infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of experience
  • Strong VMWare Experience
  • Storage Area Network (SAN) Experience
  • ASA Firewall Experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Active Directory (AD)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Group Policies
  • Host and maintain server (i.e., IIS, business specific service, etc.)
  • Patching / software upgrades
  • Volume / partition space management
  • Hardware maintenance for all non-Infrastructure-managed member servers
  • Operating system maintenance for all non-Infrastructure-managed member servers
  • Maintain level of member server system security by applying Service Packs and security patches
  • Backup / recovery
  • Full disaster recovery plan and practice

Preferred Additional Skills :

  • Hardware migration
  • Department application, file service, workstation and printer support
  • Create printer objects and access control lists.
