About The Position
Job Title : Neurodiagnostic Technologist I Job Specialty : EEG Technologist Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 40 hrs / week, Evening / Nights, (5) 8-hour shifts Monday - Friday, 3 : 00 pm - 11 : 30 pm, rotating weekends Guaranteed Hours : 36 Experience : Minimum 2 years as a practicing clinical Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist or 5 years as a clinical Seizure Monitor Technician or similar role.
Pediatric experience required. Experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital preferred. Prior traveler experience is a plus.
License : N / A Certifications : BLS certified through American Heart Association only Must-Have : Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Program OR a credential in electroencephalography (R.
EEG.T) with at least 2 years of EEG experience OR a two-year combination of training and experience performing IONM procedures- Two completed references from recent work environment / assignments (supervisor or manager only for work experience in the last two years) Job Description : Perform diagnostic testing procedures including electroencephalograms (EEG), evoked potentials (EP), nerve conduction studies (NCS), long-term monitoring for epilepsy (LTM), and intensive care unit and continuous EEG monitoring (ICU / EEG)- Work under the direct supervision of senior staff and a physician responsible for interpretation and clinical correlation of results- Analyze data during recording, ensuring information obtained is valid and interpretable- Obtain relevant patient history to guide test procedures;
must be knowledgeable in clinical neurology- Work in various settings, including outpatient laboratory, emergency room, operating room, intensive care unit, special monitoring units, or patient's bedside- Travel to different units and locations within the organization as needed based on staffing requirements and traveler's competency skills / experience- Holiday coverage requiredNote : Submissions must be in .
