The Role

The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive domain expertise to drive impactful consulting projects ensuring client satisfaction and contributing to the company's growth.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights.

We're looking for Senior Consulting Managers who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence : 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development.

At the Senior Manager / Associate Director Level , this means overseeing advisory consulting engagements, being a trusted advisor to clients, establishing oneself as a thought leader in your field, solving complex problems, consultatively working with a client to achieve business goals, driving contributions to offerings and innovations, and serving as a people leader.

Responsibilities

  • Lead consulting projects in Finance and Accounting ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of financial strategies for clients.
  • Provide expert advice on financial planning analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with client objectives.
  • Conduct thorough financial assessments and identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement financial controls and processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor industry trends and incorporate best practices into consulting engagements.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior consultants to foster their professional growth.
  • Utilize data analytics to provide actionable financial insights.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the consulting practice.
  • Serve as the Engagement Lead and manage teams of Consultants, Senior Consultants, and Managers.
  • Enrich client partnering and anticipate client needs based on a solid understanding of emerging industry requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate alignment and collaboration of consulting teams.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, upskilling, and mentorship of colleagues in Consulting.
  • Guide development, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Develop and manage the capture, communication, and sharing of intellectual property (IP).
  • Exercise leadership in the development of Consulting service offerings.
  • Leverage collegial networks across Cognizant to innovate solutions.
  • Support and contribute to the establishment of thought leadership in the industry.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of consulting, professional services, digital strategy development, advisory, or transformation programs in a client-facing capacity.
  • A proven track record in a client-facing role with at least 2 years leading digital technology teams.
  • Experience in successfully developing and leading consultant teams.
  • Works with Cognizant account stakeholders and technology partners to identify consulting opportunities.
  • Ability to demystify emerging technologies and translate innovations into business impact.
  • Regularly contribute to the practice by developing initiatives and knowledge repositories.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant business or technical discipline; MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
  • Travel as needed.
  • Personal leadership and a desire to create a culture that enables exceptional outcomes.
