The ideal candidate should be ABEM or ABFM certified, enjoy rural medicine, and possess at least 2 years of experience in the emergency department. This position offers a 24-hour shift structure and caters to an average patient volume with support from primary care coverage and an established tele-stroke program.

Hi there! This is Jason from ProTouch Medical.

We are in search of an Emergency Medicine Physician for rural Northeast Oregon, near the Idaho Border to start ASAP for a minimum of 6 shifts per month.

The ideal Candidate will be ABEM or ABFM, enjoy rural medicine and have a minimum of 2 years experience in the ED. If a local Provider cannot be found, this client will accept Providers with their IMLC LOQ in-hand and the willingness to obtain OR licensure.

Protouch covers malpractice w / tail.

Job Type : Locum / Contract

Shifts : 24 hour shifts

Work setting :

Onsite

Outpatient

Single ED physician covers 24 hours shifts.

Average patient volume is 21 per 24 hour shift.

Vast majority of the patients are Level 3,4 or 5 (72%).

Provider Support :

• Primary care coverage of inpatient care 24 / 7.
• Effective telestroke program well established.
• Single call to Medical Access Center for transfers / physician consultation.
• EMR : EPIC
• Credentialing timeframe : 2-3 months

Requirements :

• Board Certified - ABEM / ABFM)
• Active OR license - Required or IMLC (LOQ in-hand.)
• Comfortable with RURAL locations
• Clean background, no malpractice - Required
• Controlled Substance (CSR / CDS)
• DEA
