Our client, a marketing agency, is looking for a Staff Accountant who is interested in a hands-on accounting approach with a significant level of personal ownership, growth, and leadership potential.
In addition to managing in-house invoicing, communication, and key metric responsibilities, this role will oversee general accounting processes and support the Finance team’s daily accountabilities.
This position will report to our Controller and will be responsible for AR and revenue management, project reporting, and month-end supporting entries.
We are hiring for eagerness to learn, attention to detail, and someone who is trustworthy, reliable, dependent, and has constant communication with everyone in the Finance team.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with monthly and quarterly financial close process - journal entries, variance analysis, and post close financial reporting.
- Assist FP&A and treasury with key company metrics and ad hoc requests while working with the finance team to complete the monthly bank reporting package.
- Manage Accounts Receivable, client billings, deposit invoices and deferred revenue reconciliation, AR Aging schedule, cash reconciliation, and communication with clients.
- Analyze and reconcile revenue and cost of sales.
- Supporting the monthly and quarterly reporting process.
- Prepare account reconciliations and allocations monthly while maintaining balance sheet reconciliations to be reviewed by management.
- Be the liaison between finance and other departments within the company while also handling outside communications and client inquiries.
- Assist with annual audits, liaising with external accountants and preparing support packages.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as required by management qualifications.

Skills Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 2 to 4 years prior accounting experience
- Previous relevant experience in financial accounting or similar experienced gained at a major corporation, advisory firm, or media startup
- Solid understanding of invoicing and GAAP procedures
- Detail-oriented and analytical
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in working with NetSuite or Flex a plus
- Advanced MS Excel a must
