We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Detroit , MI, for the 2024-2025 school year.
The successful candidate will provide individualized support and instruction to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they achieve their academic and personal goals.
You will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide direct instruction in both individual and group settings.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles.
- Monitor and assess student progress, making data-driven adjustments to instruction.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain open communication with families.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education.
- Valid Michigan teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with diverse abilities and needs.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
