Registered Nurse, Surg Endoscopy GI - Full Time
Description
Summary :
A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for thedelivery of patient care through the process of assessment,diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
In addition,the Registered Professional Nurse prescribes, delegates,coordinates, supervises, evaluates patient teaching and theactivities of the ancillary nursing personnel while maintaining thestandards of professional nursing.
The Registered ProfessionalNurse is able to provide direct and indirect care topatients.
Requirements :
A. Education / Skills
Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing orequivalent.
B. Experience
Forfull time positions, a minimum of two (2) years nursing experiencein a hospital setting is required (not necessarily in Endoscopy).
For part time or relief positions, a minimum of two (2) yearsnursing experience in Endoscopy area of hospital isrequired.
C. Licenses, Registrations,or Certifications
- Current license orpermit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
- CPR within two (2) weeks of employment
- Medication Competence within two (2) weeksof employment
- Computer Competence withinfour (4) weeks of employment
- Unit SpecificMedication Examination within twelve (12) weeks of employment
- Basic Dysrhythmia (if applicable) withintwelve (12) weeks of employment
- AHA ACLS -within twelve (12) weeks of job description attestation
- AHA PALS - within twelve (12) weeks of job descriptionattestation
