Nature of Work
This position performs at an advanced level as a lead worker concerning the compliance of public water systems with the State Drinking Water Program.
Coordinates, manages, monitors and assures compliance with federal and state rules, regulations, guidance and policies by analyzing and evaluating scientific data and technical information involving the state's public water systems.
This position must maintain knowledge and expertise of complex federal and state statutes, rules, regulations and guidance applicable to state primacy.
Administers and directs all compliance activities and prepares federally-mandated compliance reports.
Minimum Qualifications
Training : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Substitution : Additional full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience as described below may substitute for the required training at the rate of one (1) year of experience for every thirty (30) semester hours of training.
Experience : Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in the acquisition, preservation, protection and enhancement of environmental resources, or in environmental protection, or in an agency specific area related to environmental impact.
Substitution : Graduate coursework from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience at the rate of fifteen (15) semester hours of training for every one (1) year of experience.
