Job Description :

Professional level sales position supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. Responsible for profitable growth through customer retention and acquisition. Partners with the GM to manage team members. Requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, sourcing from various channels including special orders, FDO, and second sources. Capable of directing drivers for timely and accurate delivery. This is a full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Maintain commercial customer relationships
  • Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  • Support day-to-day supervision of team members
  • Collaborate with GM on coaching and development
  • Dispatch drivers to ensure delivery standards
  • Maintain commercial stocking programs
  • Build and sustain a network of second source suppliers

Secondary Responsibilities :

  • Maintain core bank and commercial returns
  • Manage commercial credit accounts
  • Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage
  • Success Factors include friendly communication, parts sourcing ability, safety skills, inventory and store equipment operation, automotive knowledge, POS and parts lookup system proficiency, ASE P2 certification or equivalent, advanced solution and project recommendation skills, and multi-tasking abilities.

    Essential Job Skills :

  • Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics
  • Effective communication in English (Spanish a plus)
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, catalogs, and instructions
  • Completion of Parts Knowledge Assessment
  • Basic math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of commercial profitability concepts
  • Flexible work hours including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Prior Experience :

  • Minimum 3 years in automotive parts preferred
  • Proven sales and customer transaction experience
  • Experience leading or supervising teams
  • Education : High school diploma or GED.

    Certificates : ASE Certification preferred but not required.

    Physical Demands include walking, standing, talking, hearing, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, and lifting up to 50-100 pounds.

    Work Environment : Mostly indoor with occasional outdoor work in various weather conditions, exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical risks, and noise.

    Position eligible for sales commissions based on performance.
