American Medical Staffing (AMS) puts you first, and we are currently seeking an RN to join our corrections medical team in Haynesville, Virginia.

Correctional RN Job Details :

  • Pay Rate : $2,108 to $2,308 per week
  • Schedule : 7 - 7
  • Available Shift : Nights, 3 shifts per week
  • Start Date : Two weeks from offer
  • Located In : Haynesville, Virginia
  • Requirements : Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1-2 years of experience, preferably in a corrections or similar setting, have a valid RN license and be willing to obtain VA and / or compact licensure.

As a Registered Nurse in a correctional care setting, you’ll play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, promoting their well-being and rehabilitation.

This position works in partnership with a team of correctional staff and allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients.

Responsibilities include :

  • Assessing patient health status, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions as needed
  • Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
  • Monitoring patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary
  • Collaborating with healthcare team members, correctional staff, and community resources to ensure continuity of care
  • Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
