What you would do here :
Throughout our summer internship, our HR intern will work directly with our HR team to support a variety of projects and initiatives, while playing a key role in our day- to-day operations.
Our HR Intern will have exposure to HRIS, HR Administration, Recruiting, and Project Management. We will look to our HR Intern to contribute new ideas and insight as a valued member of our team.
Assisting in coordination of day-to-day operations within the HR am, including :
- Managing personnel files and i9 audits based on Seven Corners record retention policy.
- Assist with talent acquisition by posting open positions, sourcing for diverse candidates, and focusing on student promotion.
- Involvement in employee engagement activities and support coordination of community outreach initiatives
Work closely with our internal team to assist on various HR initiatives, including :
- Recruiting / Onboarding Content Refresh
- Participate in discussions with HR and Marketing on creative content for employer branding
- Assist in the editing or review of internal onboarding materials
- Training & Development Migration to Lessonly
- Participate in discussions with HR and department trainers regarding Lessonly training initiatives
- Assist in developing training content, or migrating training content to Lessonly based on department training strategy
- Policy and Procedure Updates
- Participate in discussions with HR, and legal as needed, to understand policy and handbook updates
- Support review, edits, and policy approval / finalization as needed
Ideally you have :
- Interest in, and ability to enter, an HR field through pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or Organizational Development
- Unceasing curiosity to learn
- Attention to detail with an ability to apply big picture strategic thinking
- Strong communication skills with a focus on active listening
- Confidence to work independently utilizing sound judgement
- Team player with a desire to be an active participant
