About The Position
Job Title : MRI Technologist I Job Specialty : Adult MRI Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Days, 5x8 Hr Guaranteed Hours : 40.
00 Experience : Level I Trauma experience License : Must meet applicant eligibility requirements for MRI Certification Certifications : BLS must be current upon hire.
MRI Certification must be achieved within 12 months of hire date. Must-Have : Level I Trauma experience Job Description : Under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor / preceptor, this entry-level position aims to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and / or radiologic technology services to adult and / or pediatric patient populations.
- Assist medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and monitoring of conditions, defects, and / or diseases.- Provide safe, high-quality, and efficient patient-centric care and support services in various settings such as acute inpatient facilities, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic / urgent care centers, and statewide outreach clinics.
- Prepare patients for procedures by correlating clinical history with the procedures ordered by physicians.- Communicate and collaborate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Utilize a variety of specialized cardiovascular and / or radiologic equipment and techniques to perform a wide range of diagnostic, interventional, and / or surgical procedures.
- Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure all required elements are completed, documented, and consistent with established protocols.
- Transfer images and data to appropriate archival systems, enter technical data / findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Perform quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and other user maintenance per manufacturer instructions and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies and promote continuous improvement in care and treatments.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs and maintain accurate records.- Exhibit a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently.
- Work with minimum supervision and demonstrate attention to detail.- Must be able to multitask and remain calm in stressful situations.
