As an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner with SSM Health, you will play a pivotal role in delivering efficient and patient-centered healthcare services in our dynamic urgent care setting.

Responsibilities :

Comprehensive Patient Assessments : Perform thorough assessments of patients presenting with urgent care needs, conducting detailed history-taking and physical examinations.

Diagnostic Expertise : Diagnose and treat a variety of minor illnesses and injuries, utilizing your expertise to order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary.

Treatment Administration : Administer appropriate medications, vaccinations, and medical interventions based on established protocols, ensuring timely and effective patient care.

Collaborative Care : Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care, fostering an environment of teamwork and shared responsibility.

Patient Education : Provide clear and concise patient education on treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventive measures, promoting informed decision-making and wellness.

Electronic Health Records : Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records, documenting all patient encounters with attention to detail and adherence to privacy regulations.

Continuous Learning : Stay current on best practices, guidelines, and advancements in urgent care medicine through continuous education, fostering a commitment to professional development.

Quality Improvement Initiatives : Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing valuable insights and expertise to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of urgent care services.

Qualifications :

Educational Background : Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Licensure and Certification : Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Missouri (or willingness to obtain one).

Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Experience : One year proven experience in urgent care or a similar fast-paced clinical setting, showcasing strong clinical and diagnostic decision-making skills.

Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a patient-centered approach to care.

Technology Proficiency : Proficient in using electronic health record systems, ensuring accurate and secure documentation.
