Job Description :
As Golf Services Staff at the Country Club of Detroit, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service and maintaining the prestigious standards of our club.
You will be responsible for providing personalized assistance to our members and guests while ensuring the seamless operation of our golf facilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Customer Service : Provide exceptional customer service by addressing member inquiries, assisting with tee time reservations, and offering assistance on the course as needed.
- Cart Management : Manage the golf cart fleet, including cleaning, charging, and ensuring carts are available for use. Coordinate with the maintenance team for any repairs or maintenance requirements.
- Driving Range Maintenance : Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the driving range, including collecting golf balls, replenishing supplies, and ensuring a safe environment for practice.
- Tournament Support : Assist with the setup and breakdown of tournaments and events, including preparing equipment, signage, and coordinating with the golf staff to ensure a smooth event execution.
- Bag Handling : Welcome members and guests upon arrival, assist with unloading / loading golf bags, and ensure bags are securely stored and organized.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including those related to golf cart operation, driving range safety, and general course maintenance.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in a similar role within the golf or hospitality industry preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and terminology.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as needed.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver golf bags and equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
