Iowa Ear Center is a private, physician-owned medical practice dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of ear, hearing, and balance disorders. In addition to our expertise in hearing loss and ear-related conditions, we provide comprehensive care for vestibular disorders and offer on-site speech therapy services to support patients throughout their hearing and communication journey.

We are proud to be home to a nationally recognized cochlear implant program, and we offer a full spectrum of advanced otologic, audiologic, vestibular, and rehabilitative care—all under one roof. Our office is staffed by a team of highly skilled and compassionate physicians, nurse practitioners, audiologists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and support staff.

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our specialized medical team. In this critical role, you will help ensure timely access to sub-specialty ear and hearing care for our patients. You will work closely with physicians and audiologists in a supportive, team-oriented environment that emphasizes clinical excellence, communication, and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Utilize advanced scientific knowledge and skills to assess, plan, and implement appropriate health care to patients.
  • Order labs, imaging, procedures, physical / vestibular therapy, and refer to audiology & speech therapy, as well as outside specialty care, as needed.
  • Manage medication for patients, including vestibular patients.
  • Collaborate with audiologists, nurses, and physicians to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide follow-up care, monitor treatment progress, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventative care.
  • Respond to patient messages sent through EMR in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
  • Contribute to our culture of teamwork, professionalism, and accountability.

Qualifications :

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the state of Iowa (or eligible for licensure).
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Previous experience in ENT field preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
