Job Summary
Coordinates the day-to-day management of the food services operations for Nutrition Culinary and assists with kitchen activities to ensure high quality food service and efficient operations.
The focus of the coordinator's role is to run day to day operations with a focus on customer service, scheduling, assisting the staff, cooking, cleaning, and daily prep.
Has oversight of food service activities performed by employees in area.
Accountabilities
Coordinators the work of the kitchen personnel by assisting with training and monitoring work. Establishes work schedules and priorities to ensure that work flow is controlled.
May perform work of similar nature as needed. - 55%
Reviews, updates, and coordinates customer nutritional requests to ensure all policy and protocols are implemented through ongoing communications and the patients, employees, or any customer the kitchen may have.
Documents all relevant aspects of nutritional care. 15%
Identifies client needs and develops quality programs to meet those needs. Ensures delivery of quality services for customers. - 10%
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Participates in education programs and in-service meetings, including fire / disaster drill. Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
Ensures assigned area complies with DHEC standards for sanitation and service of food. 10%
Provides suggestions to management to improve overall quality and day-to-day operations. Controls and monitors budget related to customer service personnel.
Must have good communication skills in order to speak of standards and cooking methods accurately and easily to staff, give orders and speak with customers clearly

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent
2 years institutional food service experience including healthcare food service
