POSITION SUMMARY :

As a Supply Chain Process Manager, you will be responsible for designing, documenting, testing, controlling, and optimizing the operational processes and procedures within Airbus U.S.

The Supply Chain Process Manager will lead change management efforts by assessing the impact of proposed changes on Supply Chain Team, processes and systems.

This role will participate in continuous improvements projects and collaborate with various departments to streamline workflows.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Management & Improvement Supply Chain Processes :

  • Lead value stream mapping activities to streamline supply chain processes between all applicable locations.
  • Represent the Supply Chain Department in Cross-Functional and Company-Wide process improve and alignment initiatives.
  • Applies knowledge of organizational processes to develop strategies to optimize workflow and eliminate waste.
  • In collaboration with internal stakeholders, propose improvements to processes, systems, procedures, and operational changes to increase efficiency, safety, and effectiveness.
  • Designs and oversees implementation of practical process improvement interventions to optimize organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Translates stakeholder feedback and technical inputs for improved and streamlined operational delivery into concrete products (process maps, workflows, on the job guides, templates, etc.)
  • Work with internal and external partners (one on one and in a facilitating role for team workshops) to identify bottlenecks, apply data-driven solutions to make sustainable improvements across the supply chain to optimize project performance.
  • Provide lean improvement orientation and on-the-job training for teammates and teach others to lead improvement efforts.
  • Use key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost savings, productivity improvements, and increased customer satisfaction to measure the success of their initiatives.
  • Develop and execute long-term and short-term continuous improvement strategies, working closely with production, planning, and shipping to increase capacity, reduce lead times, improve delivery upon request, and improve product quality.
  • Define and implement strategic activities for continuous improvement initiatives while following and helping established standards across the company.
  • Develops and tracks metrics related to improvement activities; and promotes standard processes, improved flow, waste elimination, and support management for daily improvement activities.
  • Conducts routine reviews and reports on overall continuous activities including accomplishments, participation, project activities, and anticipated needs of all continuous improvement activities, summarizing and reporting results for appropriate management as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS : Education :

Education :

  • Required : Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred : Master's degree from an accredited college / university

Technical Systems Proficiency :

  • Required :
  • 5 years' experience with ERP Systems. Specific experience with SAP and Deltek Costpoint a plus!
  • Proven success with the use of Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma principles.
  • Proficient in Excel with experience in creating automated reports.
  • Proficient in other Microsoft Office applications including Power Point, and able to quickly master new computerized tools such Power BI, SharePoint, JIRA
  • Basic knowledge of process engineering, process simulations, and process related standards.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Visio.

  • Experience in process control and data analytics.
  • Preferred : Experience in Aerospace and Defense industry will be considered a plus.

Citizenship :

Must be U.S. Person under ITAR regulations

Clearance :

Eligibility to receive a DoD SECRET clearance preferred

  • Vision : able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings throughout the business day and after hours as required.
  • Hearing : able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms throughout the business day and after hours as required for meetings, telecons, telephone.
  • Speaking : able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications daily, 30%.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors) : able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment throughout the business day and after hours as required.
  • Carrying : able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs / 14kgs as required.
  • Lifting : able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs / 14kgs as required.
  • Pushing / Pulling : able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools, occasional.
  • Sitting : able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. 80% of time in meetings and computer workstation.
  • Squatting / Kneeling : able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving, rarely
  • Standing : able to stand for discussions in offices, conducting presentations or on production floor 20%.
  • Travel : able to travel independently and at short notice, 10% domestic / international for proposal coordination
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents) : able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces across campus, 5%.
