Summary :
On-Board Engineering Corp. is seeking to grow its Electrical Engineering team with a qualified Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer.
You will join On-Board's Reputable Corporate Office Team at its Regional Engineering Headquarters in New Castle, DE (Wilmington, DE area)
Duties :
- As a Senior Electrical Engineer (E&I) you will be responsible for designing, developing, and working with our clients as they install or modify new or existing equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery, and processes
- Produce cable block diagrams, i / o. counts, ISA data sheets, create P&IDs, blank sheet and / or early stages instrumentation design, perform instrument specifications, and the like.
- You will develop and maintain instrument lists / databases /
- Work with Power Distribution for Medium Voltage and Low Voltage schematics, wiring diagrams, one-lines, equipment arrangements, and lighting design
- Troubleshoot and problem solve, but you will often put on your "Project Engineering Hat" and work collaboratively with design engineers, operations, and procurement to specify instrumentation, control and DCS equipment for purchasing based on scope requirements which will include working with vendors to provide accurate ISA data sheet specifications and equipment procurement quotations
- Work closely with our other All-Star Engineering Discipline Team Members to complete project objectives on-time and within budget
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Good written and verbal communications skills and AutoCAD skills in D or D is a plus
- At least + years or more of electrical engineering, instrumentation engineering experience either as a Engineering Design Consultant Engineer to (or on-site / in-plant experience at) industrial, chemical, manufacturing and commercial facilities
- Experience and knowledge in Safety Instrument Systems (SIS), I / O counts, Instrument sizing and specifications, Functional Descriptions, Automation & controls, Operator Control Panels / HMI)
- Experience and knowledge in Power Distribution for Medium Voltage and Low Voltage schematics, wiring diagrams, one-lines, equipment arrangements, and lighting design.
- Competence in Project Management activities such as scope development, cost and man hours estimates, bid package development, scheduling, vendor evaluation / review.
- Candidates cannot begin an assignment without successful drug & background screening clearances
