Your Opportunity

EY's Agile Business Transformation enabled by SAP technology can help organizations address challenges in the digital era. As a Senior Application Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing and integrating user interfaces across mobile, web, and tablet platforms, delivering technological solutions that drive revenue generation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify customer requirements and develop front-end components and services integral to our software architecture.
  • Contribute to business processes or solutions, selecting methodologies to meet client service metrics, quality, risk management, business growth, and teaming objectives.
  • Define and execute deliverables with efficiency.
  • Manage completion of deliverables and maintain engagement economics reports.
  • Track resource plans and budgets, and handle project statuses.
  • Participate in client sessions as a workstream member or team lead.
  • Travel as required by client needs; maintain a chargeable hours target for external clients.

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Understand stakeholder needs, architect solutions, blueprinting, testing, workflow, documentation, and functional design of SAP-integrated solutions.
  • Translate requirements into business solutions and configurations and integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Strong business acumen with deep technical capabilities; ability to assimilate new knowledge.
  • Deliver quality client services, monitor progress, manage risk, and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Agile delivery methodologies; proficiency in application development tools; quality assurance and software development expertise.
  • Systems integration, building client relationships, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel (travel estimated at up to 80%).

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience typically 2-4 years in integrations with SAP systems.
  • Design and implement SAP integration scenarios using tools such as SAP PI / PO, SAP Cloud Integration, SAP Integration Suite (API Management, Cloud Integration, Trading Partner Management, Advanced Event Mesh, Edge Integration).
  • Experience with additional integration tools (e.g., Mulesoft, Boomi, Informatica) is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP interfaces (APIs, OData, SOAP), ABAP Proxies, RFCs, IDOCs, Files, etc.
  • Experience building integration architecture and strategies to ensure data consistency across systems.
  • Experience with adapters (ODATA, SOAP, AMQP, AS2 / AS4, Ariba, JMS, HTTPS, JDBC, IDOC, SFTP, Process Direct, MAIL, XI).
  • Knowledge of security best practices for integrations (authentication, authorization, encryption).
  • Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager, Splunk).
  • Experience building B2B integrations following EDI standards (ANSI X12 / EDIFACT).
  • Experience with cloud integration platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps; knowledge of data modeling and database management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and client service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80%.

    • Desirable

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams to design holistic integration architecture.
  • Prior consulting experience or deep functional experience.
  • SAP Certifications.
  • Experience with at least one full cycle implementation of core modules.
