University of New Mexico-Gallup Branch, Fine Arts, Humanities & SocialSciences Division, anticipates hiring adjunct faculty to teach face-to-faceand / or develop lower division courses (1000 / 2000 level) in the Spring, Summer,and Fall 2025 semesters in the following anticipated potential disciplines :

UNMGallup is a two-year branch campus of the University of New Mexico locatedapproximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque.
The University of New Mexicoestablished branch colleges to provide the highest quality of education forstudents pursuing post-secondary education at different locations throughoutthe state.
Branch colleges respond specifically to the unique needs andmulticultural backgrounds of their respective communities by offering communityeducation programs, career and technical education including certificate andassociate degree programs, and transfer programs that prepare students forupper division entry into colleges and universities.
The Fine Arts, Humanities & Sciences Division at UNM Gallup Branch isseeking qualified temporary part-time faculty members to teach lower divisionclasses in various courses or topics as specified above.
UNM Gallup instructorsare responsible for all aspects of any class they are teaching including butnot limited to meeting face-to-face with the class during assigned times thatmay include evenings or weekends, content delivery, assignment development,grading assignments, reporting of grades, and assessment of student learning asoutlined by the division chair.
Positions are contingent upon need each semester as determined by studentenrollment levels, current course offering matrix, and demand driven bygraduation requirements.
Positions may be filled or eliminated eachsemester up to the deadline for students to drop or add courses. Candidateswho are selected for these positions will report to the division chair.
Wages
Adjunct Faculty are currently compensated on the basis of their credentials andcredit hour course loads, as follows :

Terminal Degree, less than 12 hours Collegeteaching $1,056.70
Master’s Degree, plus 12 hours College teaching $1,017.60
Master’s Degree, less than 12 hours Collegeteaching $1,017.60

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
Master’s degree, or Master of Fine Arts degree, inArchitecture, and Art Studio discipline, Electronic Arts, Music, MusicProduction, Film or a related field
Preferred Qualifications :
- College-level teaching experience.
- Ademonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success,as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
