Join Our Team as a Project Manager at The Contractor Consultants!Job Title : Commercial / Light Industrial Project ManagerCompany Name : The Contractor ConsultantsSalary : $90,000 - $125,000 per yearFull Job DescriptionThe Project Manager's primary responsibilities are to oversee all aspects of the building process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and adhere to the Operations process.

This position reports to the Vice President.Who we are : Since 1997, we've established ourselves as a trusted partner in the construction industry, focusing on light industrial, commercial, and retail markets.

Our integrated project delivery and design-build methods ensure efficient project completion, staying within budget and meeting the highest standards.

With over 50 years of combined experience, we guide clients seamlessly from project conception to construction.Responsibilities include but are not limited to : -Lead and collaborate with project team members, including engineers, architects, third-party consultants, and subcontractors.

  • Maintain positive relationships and communication with project team members and clients.-Manage and forecast project costs accurately and report progress to the Vice President.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates and change orders to assist in owner decision-making during construction.-Review and maintain project documents to ensure compliance with design and budget intent during construction.
  • Develop a comprehensive project plan for project completion and track progress throughout construction.-Identify and respond to potential issues throughout the life of the project.
  • Lead regular customer meetings, including preparing meeting agendas and maintaining meeting minutes.-Conduct subcontractor bid analysis.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to reach profitable agreements.-Prepare subcontractor purchase orders and change orders.
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoicing.-Develop, maintain, and evaluate the project schedule in collaboration with the project Superintendent.
  • Submit and obtain permits from appropriate municipal authorities.-Develop and maintain project checklists (design, permitting, closeout).
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.-Document important project events.-Maintain and update historical databases.
  • Reconcile the PCS platform and provide feedback.-Attend company and industry events, including meetings, training, and workshops.
  • Promote and contribute to maintaining company culture.The ideal candidate should possess : -Must have extensive experience in Design Build-Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and best practices.-Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.-Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.-Knowledge of compliance codes and regulations.-Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.-Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.-Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
