Solid Waste Engineer/Project Manager

Overview

As a Solid WasteEngineering Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., (CEC), you will be involved in :

• The design, analyses, permitting and preparation of drawings and technical specifications and construction period services for solid waste management facilities, including coal combustion residual (CCR) facilities, and industrial facilities.
• General civil / environmental engineering duties
• Design of all aspects of landfills : Double composite liner systemsLeachate conveyance and storage facilities Stormwater conveyance and storage facilities Landfill gas collection / treatment systems On-site roadways, and ancillary buildings and structures
• Develop permit application documents, contract drawings, specifications and estimates for landfills, transfer stations, landfill gas to energy facilities, and recycling facilities
• Preparation of engineering design reports, feasibility studies, and solid waste management plans
• Review of projects for compliance with plans / specifications
• Strong client and project management skills : Good communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills required;Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in the design, permitting, document preparation and CQA of waste disposal facilities;
• Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process;
• in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering (. a plus);
• Professional Engineering ( Licensure;
• Understanding of business principles of consulting projects and related project delivery tools.
