Description :
Provide and document direct supervision for designated staff as per VIP Community Services policies. Prepare written annual evaluations, including the development of annual goals, on staff under his / her supervision.
In collaboration with the Program Director, responsible for all personnel actions, including recruitment, hiring, promotion, disciplinary action and separation of program staff.
Act as consumer advocate, assuring that all consumers' rights are respected and that all grievances and complaints are addressed in a timely and equitable manner in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
In collaboration with the Facilities, Transportation & Security (FTS) department, monitors the interior and exterior maintenance of the facility, directing resources according to need.
Works directly with the Purchasing Department and the designated food vendor to ensure food services function in timely and nutritious manner.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all HRA attendance requirements.
Perform as bursar, including distributing PNA, maintaining petty cash and MetroCard accounts in accordance with program policies and regulatory standards.
Maintain inventory, order and distribute all consumer supplies.
Maintain updated consumer database, bed sheets, and room assignments.
Ensure that all therapeutic activities are properly facilitated and begin and end in a timely fashion.
Take a leadership role in crisis intervention and provide close observation and supervision of residents in crisis.
Ensure adherence to the Client Screening policy & procedure and toxicology protocols.
Attend all appropriate trainings, meetings and case conferences as determined by the Program Director.
Conduct and document required fire and evacuation drills.
Provide and implements formal orientation plan to newly hired directly subordinate staff.
Assure all directly subordinate staff members are adequately trained.
Prepare all proposals and reports as needed.
Prepare written annual evaluations on staff under his / her supervision.
Lead quality management activities in collaboration with Program Director.
Represent VIP Community Services at community and public forums.
Provide on-call availability as assigned.
Other relevant duties as assigned by Program Director.
Requirements :
High School Diploma / G.E.D. required and two (2) years of experience working within a human service setting required.
One (1) year of experience delivering supervision preferred
CASAC / CASAC-T preferred.
Experience in building management including fire alarm, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems preferred.
Experience in residential facilities management including food services preferred.
Ability to interact effectively with all populations served.
Proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Word, Excel, Electronic Health Record and Outlook programs)
Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
This position will require availability as needed including on call responsibilities
