Digital Media Producer
Job Description
Hearst Media Production Group is seeking an experienced, full-time Digital (Social) Media Producer to join our digital team.
This role is central to executing digital strategies and multimedia content initiatives for our diverse array of shows, from development to audience engagement on social media platforms.
The position includes asset coordination, creative content concepting, ideation, development, copywriting, publishing, and content-related project management.
This position reports to the Creative Services Director and is based on-site at our new, state-of-the-art office in Glendale, CA.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with strategy leads to develop and refine social media and digital strategies for broadcast television programming to enhance audience engagement.
- Lead the end-to-end creation of social content, from ideation, and selection, through copywriting, publishing, and repurposing.
- Designing graphics or basic video editing using tools from the Adobe Creative Suite or other web-based tools.
- Collaborate closely with internal, and external teams on all aspects of content development, implementation, asset management, securing approvals, and assisting in reporting.
Partner with cross-departmental stakeholders, outside agencies, and influencers to ensure successful promotional impact.
- Execute approved digital strategies, schedule posts, and upload optimized social video content using best practices like custom thumbnails and SEO-minded metadata.
- Monitor social media channels for trends and feedback, engage with followers, respond to comments, and foster a strong online community.
Engage social communities by responding to timely cultural and news events with compelling content to join trending conversations.
Stay updated on social media trends and technologies, recommending improved processes and new platforms where appropriate.
Experience
- Strong creative and writing skills
- 2+ years' experience in Marketing / Branding, Communications, Writing, Film / Design, or equivalent work in related field
- Media / entertainment industry a plus
- Social media management platform experience a plus
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of producing, publishing, and marketing social media creative assets on various platforms including, but not limited to : TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, Pinterest, Snapchat and Twitch
- Self-starter, able to work under tight deadlines with excellent editorial judgment, time management and strong project management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills
- Passion for social and digital creative trends and technology
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop, and Premiere to perform basic graphic design and video editing tasks.
- Understanding of video metadata, encoding and data formats
Education
- Related experience and / or training will be considered as well as a combination of education and experience.

The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000 annualized. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, and other factors permitted by law.
The base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
