Overview
Insight Global is looking for a Professional Structural Engineer to become part of an industry-leading consulting team specializing in industrial and commercial projects. We are seeking a candidate with 5-10 years of relevant experience and strong project management skills to design, lead, and deliver structural engineering solutions that exceed client expectations.
This role will be an hourly role with five hours of overtime available every week!
Base pay range
$57.00 / hr - $73.00 / hr
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute structural engineering projects from concept through construction, including new buildings, retrofits, and expansions.
- Prepare structural calculations, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a variety of industrial and commercial structures.
- Lead coordination efforts with other engineering disciplines, architects, and external consultants.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing technical review and guidance.
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders, providing project updates and addressing technical inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, local jurisdictions).
- Perform field investigations, site inspections, and construction support as required.
- Oversee project budgets and schedules, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license required. (EIT on a case to case basis)5-10 years of structural engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment.Knowledge of structural systems for commercial and industrial projects.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability and willingness to travel for site work.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
