Implement comprehensive program of health services for campus(es) as assigned. Provide health services to students. Promote health education and preventive health practices for students.
Supervise medical health professionals and / or health clinic aides as assigned.
Qualifications : Education / Certification :
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited university.
- Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners
- Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening
- CPR / First Aid Healthcare Provider Certification
- CPR Instructor Certification
Special Knowledge / Skills :
- Knowledge of health appraisal to identify student health defects
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement policies and procedures
Experience :
Three years nursing experience, preferably in school nursing and / or community health
Salary : Minimum teacher salary $61,810 (teacher salary schedule attached)
