Overview :
Our client is looking for experienced Transport Drivers to join their team! As a Direct-Hire Transport Driver, you will play a vital role in safely transporting products, ensuring compliance with all federal and state transportation and safety regulations.
General Responsibilities :
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer (tanker) to transport asphalt products over short and long distances.
- Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions and operate equipment such as valves and pumps.
- Maintain accurate records by documenting weights, deliveries, and truck conditions.
- Perform basic truck maintenance, including refueling, checking oil and fluids, and ensuring the truck is in good condition.
General Qualifications :
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker endorsement.
- 2-3 years of Class A CDL driving experience.
- Excellent driving record and solid work history.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service focus.
- Ability to understand weigh scales and basic measurements.
- Physical capability to lift and move up to 70 lbs, stand and walk for long periods, and climb ladders.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb in various weather conditions.
- Manual dexterity and agility to perform tasks such as operating controls and climbing ladders.
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 50-70 lbs and driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
