Senior Platform and Software License Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform and Software License Manager to oversee the management of the Health Care and Administration Services (HCAS) systems at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The role involves managing the Salesforce platform and other acquisition-related technical capabilities, as well as overseeing software licenses for associated organizations.

The ideal candidate will serve as the system administrator for the Salesforce platform, provide license management support, and offer recommendations based on business needs.

Salesforce Platform Management :

  • Serve as the system administrator for the Salesforce platform, managing its functionality and usage for various processes such as change management requests, audit / incident requests, and user provisioning.
  • Monitor platform performance and ensure system stability and security.

Centralized License Management :

  • Oversee and manage software licenses for HCAS and associated organizations, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
  • Track, renew, and allocate software licenses to meet the organization's needs, while optimizing license usage and reducing costs.

Platform Usage Analysis and Recommendations :

  • Analyze the Salesforce platform usage to understand current business needs and future requirements.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve platform utilization, streamline processes, and enhance the efficiency of change management and incident handling.

Stakeholder Communication :

  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure platform and license management aligns with organizational goals.
  • Provide updates on platform performance, license management, and any recommended changes or upgrades.

Documentation and Reporting :

  • Maintain detailed documentation of platform management, software licenses, and system administration activities.
  • Generate reports on license usage, platform performance, and make recommendations for optimization.

Experience :

  • 7+ years of experience in platform management, system administration, or software license management, preferably within government or healthcare settings.
  • Proven expertise managing Salesforce or similar platforms, including system administration and change management processes.
  • Strong background in software license management, ensuring compliance with agreements and optimizing usage.
  • Proficient in Salesforce platform administration, including user provisioning, change management, and incident resolution.
  • Strong understanding of software license management best practices, including tracking, renewal, and cost optimization.
  • Analytical skills to assess platform usage and recommend process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills for reporting and collaborating with stakeholders.
