Job Summary

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Human Resources Manager at Arc Drilling. Under the direction of the CEO and CFO, the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for managing all HR functions, including recruitment, benefits management, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.

Additionally, this position will own payroll processing. This role will be based in Hampton, VA, or Dover, NJ with flexibility for some remote work.

Essential Job Functions :

Maintains work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions

Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection;

conducting and analyzing exit interviews and recommending changes

Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation training

Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets;

monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions

  • Maintains employee benefits program and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends;
  • recommending benefit programs to management; directing and processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids;

awarding benefit contracts; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs

Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources federal and state requirements; conducting investigations;

maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings

Prepares, updates, and recommends human resource policies and procedures

Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records

Responsible for processing payroll, garnishments, payroll taxes, benefits, and supporting accounting functions

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Minimum Job Requirements :

Bachelor’s Degree and / or 5-10 years of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the Human Resources field

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and documentation

Must be able to work at all levels with a steady but determined and assertive professional demeanor
