Position : Data Ecosystem Lead AIMSS (Contingent Upon Contract Award)
Location : Huntsville, AL
Clearance : Top Secret Eligible
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- L ead and manage the operations of the AIMSS Data T eam . Reports directly to AIMSS Deputy Program Manager and coordinates closely with AIMSS Chief Architect
- Provide technical and administrative oversight and management of the Data T eam :
- Provide administrative oversight and management to include interview conduction and team personnel selection , on-boarding support, timecard approvals, leave request approvals, privilege d user account requests, and equipment and resource requests
- Provide technical oversight and management to include :
- Data management (VAULTIS)
- Data science
- Data collection and dissemination
- Data c leansing
- Data analysis
- Data visualization
- Develop and implement a Data Management Plan, addressing near-term and long - range requirements and concerns
- Develop , maintain , and manage the execution of Integrated Data Man agement Plans
- Securely, efficiently, and effectively collect, analyze, and disseminate data in accordance with customer requirements and need-to-know / clearance policy
- Ensure data collection and dissemination is done in accordance with DoD, MDA, information assurance, and cybersecurity policy
- Ensure alignment with MDA Chief Information Officer and MDA Chief Data Officer guidance and polic ies
- Identify and mitigate data quality issues , validating and optimizing data for rich analysis , and ensuring the use of authoritative data
- Conduct data analysis and develop robust data visualizations to assist customers in technical understanding and decision-making
- Coordinate with Software Solutions Lead and Chief Architect for the design and development of data and AI / ML solutions
- Support a disciplined approach to execution using an agile methodology
- Effectively coordinate with scrum master s , Deputy Program Manager , Chief Architect and MDA customer regarding effort s to control cost, schedule, communications, personnel, etc.
- Coordinate with Cybersecurity team (ISSOs, etc.) to ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements
- Coordinate with Chief Architect and Cloud / Systems and Software Solutions L eads to ensure alignment of efforts, plans, architecture and solutions
- Ensure solutions are developed to maximize existing capabilities in order to minimize the risks and costs associated with custom development
- Coordinate with MDA and other government customers and contractors as required
- Support MDA or contract technical / engineering boards as required
QUALIFICATION S , KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS :
- BS in Computer Science , Data Analytics, Data Science, or related field p referred
- Minimum 10 years experience in data governance, data management and data quality methodologies
- DoD experience required
- Minimum 5 years experience leading a technical team
- AWS, Azure, AI / ML experience preferred
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully lead and collaborate with team members.
Excellent customer - facing and communication skills
- Strong , proven leadership skills with ability to work as part of the team
- Ability to effectively interact with end users and translate business language into technical requirements
- Ability to think critically and maintain a positive, innovative work ethic
- Working knowledge of cyber secure development practices
- Ability to orchestrate agile execution of technical efforts
- Familiar with DoDAF views (OV, SV, SrvcV )
- Problem solving skills with the ability to look for root causes and implementable, workable solutions
- MDA experience preferred
Relevant Certifications :
- CompTIA Security +, required
- Required IA certifications in accordance with DoD Manual 8140
- ITIL Foundation, preferred
- Certified Data Management Professional, preferred (required within 6 months of employment)
