Executive Director
Position Summary : The Executive Director is responsible for leadership and management of an incredibly impactful and important ministry collecting food and providing it to nonprofit organizations in the Sioux Empire that feed those in need.
The Executive Director plays a key role in increasing community awareness, securing resources, building relationships, and maintaining the organization’s reputation.

Job Status : Contracted Position
Supervises : Bread Break Coordinator, Volunteers
Responsibilities :
- Raising funds to support the mission including donor relations
- Overseeing all operations including creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Building and maintaining partnerships with food providing agencies and receiving agencies
- Outreach and public relations ensuring consistent messaging and mission awareness
- Supporting Board functions including reporting, meeting planning, and board governance best practices
- Financial management including budgeting and required reporting
- Board / Staff / Volunteer recruitment, retention, and training
- Coordination of special events
- Oversight of facility and equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Skills :
- Background and demonstrated success in fundraising including grant writing & execution
- Self-starter, problem solver, creative thinker
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience leading and managing people, teams, and projects
- Effective and efficient computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Strong people skills, including ability to build relationships and communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Knowledge and experience creating budgets and managing finances
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Qualifications :
- 7 years or more experience in nonprofit leadership or equivalent combination of experience and education; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements :
- Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and navigate to and from Bread Break facility, food providing
Job Type : Contract
Pay : $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
